Philosophy:

The goal of Monarch Little Learners Academy is to provide children with a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment to grow and learn. We are committed to the enhancement of overall development and early education to positively impact child outcomes in language, literacy, cognition, social/emotional growth, and motor development.

We proactively promote, support and create highly trained early childhood educators for increased expectations and improved early learning environments that foster the education of children. Through an aggressive professional development program, our staff will be able to implement a high-quality developmentally appropriate curriculum that will ensure that children reach their full potential cognitively, physically and emotionally.

Physical features of the learning environment are considered as important as the curriculum itself, to include cleanliness, safety and room design. We have carefully arranged our classrooms to provide children with the opportunities to engage in either quiet or active play. The classrooms are set up with well thought out centers, which have a variety of activities allowing children to make choices and use their imagination.

Overall skill development is encouraged through the use of our classroom “Essential” areas that include:

Changing/Toilet Training Area
Gathering Circle-Time Area
Creative Art Area
Science and Discovery Area
Meal Time Area
Manipulative Area
Block/Building Area
Imagination Station
Media/Library Lab
Quiet Area
Music and Movement Area
